    trim button bad???

i have a 99slh and i thought the trim motor was bad.. so i unplugged it from the ebox and touched the leads to a battery and the motor turned so i unplugged the switch wires from the box and ohms tested them and nothing..

did i do that correctly.. is that the correct way to check the switch this is the third polaris that i thought the motor was bad but it worked when i unplugged it from the board...

    Arrow Trim switch testing

When ohm testing the Trim switch, you need to press the switch. Press up, then ohm test the wire pairs. The press down, and test again.

In the center position, none of the contacts inside the switch should be contacting.
