    RXP-X Help Needed!

I have a 2008 RXP-X with a Riva Stage 1 kit and the air filter removed from the air box (I believe its called the flame arestor). I just purchased the Riva blower impeller, 50lb injectors, Riva ECU, Riva catch can, Riva 130 degree stat, ceramic blower bearing, Riva hardended steel blower washers and last but not least the Kanaflex 4" cool air kit.

    I have a few concerns:
1 Do I need anything else to make this all work togather? ie prop change.
2 Should I be concerned with overstufing the pump?
3 What RPM should I run at?
4 Any idea of the gains I might see?

I do not want to hurt myself or the boat, so any help would be great!

    Thanks Bryant

You got an awsome set up that should work well. I would add a Riva grate to add speed and help prevent the overstuff (up to 77GPS)

First thing you should do is get a GPS and run it for the numbers (Speed & RPM)

Not sure about those ceramic bearings, many have had failures.

Get back to us with the numbers then we can advise

I believe the Riva grate is included in the stage 1 kit, and as a baseline I did GPS the boat yesterday.

73.9 mph at 8040 rpm with a solas SRX-CD-15/22R prop and 82mm ring
    81 degrees out
    low humidity
82 degree water at 897 feet above sea level.

Im not sure if that is good, average or bad.

Anyone else feel free to chime in plz.

At wat rpm where you at topspeed?

Maybe a bit of finetuning and you will pick up some more speed!

Because your speed isn't that high with a riva ecu.

Be careful with the RIVA grate as you get closer to 80mph. What prop are you running and nozzle? What are your rpms?

I just have the stage 1 kit installed....I am asking these questions prior to installing the rest of the mods.

Get a WORX or R&D grate. I have never run the ceramic bearings, but I have heard of failures. I would use good quality steel bearings. The rest of your set up looks good. Tune your ski with the 83mm nozzle in the summer. As it cools off drop down in nozzle sizes.

Thanks for the help...Which would you prefer, WORX or R&D, and who would you recommend to depitch my prop? Lastly...Do I need to upgrade the valve train?
