    MORE IMPORTANT V

    i have customers that i need help with there skis there bodies are in horrid shape i cant identify the ski but the two jetskis run great in the lows and you attempt to get it up to speed and it bogs at more than half throttle
    this is a 2 cyl. with 2 carb also this one messed up when i was going at full speed and did a quick turn and the front went under it would run bog run bog run bog

    bogs at more than half throttle
    starts great
    just quits if held at WOT

    and the other same problems but you get it to WOT and 2 seconds later it bogs and cant be restarted for an hour then it cranks and cranks and cranks and finnaly starts
    i think its 2cyl. with single carb
    this one messed up when it got low on gas

    bogs at more than half throttle
    starts great
    just quits if held at WOT
    wont start after quitting

    The third ski runs just fine but you shoot up to WOT and it does nothing the motor revs up to est. 7000 stays but the ski takes off slowly and takes a few minutes at WOT to get up to speed you cant turn also the man said he sucked a ski rope into it

    SLOWLY gains speed
    Cant turn
    motors turning as fast as it can
    cavitating?
    need new impeller?
    need new jetdrive?
    im askin yall those questions i havent done a thing to this ski... yet

    You have customers?

    It sounds like you have quite a lot of learning in front of you.

    It is difficult to be effective or efficient as a repair technician until you have a solid understanding of how the various components operate, how they are assembled, and how they interact.

    Then you need to learn about and recognize the symptoms of various common problems. That extends into knowing what tests and checks are appropriate and safe to perform without risking additional damage.

    PWC 2-stroke engines do not take well to being 'pushed' hard when there is anything wrong with the fuel delivery system - carbs, fuel lines, fuel pump, old fuel, etc.

    Running these engines hard when they are not running properly is asking for major damage, often a hole melted right through the top of one or more pistons. This can all happen in a matter of minutes or less.

    It also sounds like you are risking lean piston burn down on several of those engines, and have a drive line failure on another.

    Have you read the service manuals for these machines?

    Tip: The first three letters of the HIN (Hull Identification Number) number plate on the ski are the manufacturer code.
    PLE = Polaris
    You can check other HIN codes here.

    The last two digits of the HIN code are the model year
    92 = 1992
