Making 1200r plate fit 1300r pump

I'm finishing up my 1200r ski. I installed the 2" pump extension, and I milled my R&D rideplate the way everyone else does, so it will fit the pump. I milled it to the depth of the original pump relief that was cast into it. Is this deep enough? I didn't want to go too deep, for fear of the plate flexing and cracking. I also clearanced the stator and nozzle, to the point where you can't really grind any more material off, safely. The pump and plate will still touch, when setting the plate up for .950". The mounting tabs on the plate are untouched. It is an Island modded plate that only had the skegs machined off. Does this sound right, or am I missing something? Thanks.

    we need pics....

Need to know how much was removed from the nozzle and go from there. Pretty much remove EVERYTHING you can until you hit the bottom of the circle.

grind more on the pump and nozzle for more clearence and use a peice of paper to slide between the pump and plate to measure clearence. it takes a lot of time and grinding.
