    Cutting flywheel.

XP 800. The flywheel that people lighten for better throttle response is connected to the pto shaft right? The white one? How hard is removal and how much do people usually shave off?

I've seen them reduced to the OD of the splined end. Rossier Engineering used to sell them.

I wouldn't do it though, as it substantially reduces crank bearing life.

Get a RAD or Jetinetics aluminum flywheel for improved throttle response, I've run one for years with no crank bearing issues.

Thanks for the response. Is it worth the bucks?

For the flywheel? Most definitely! Makes a big difference in throttle response. Plus, if you are piped, it gets it through the initial low-torque part of the powerband faster.

If you get one PM me. There are a couple tricks to make sure it never vibrates loose.
