    Rusty reed cage

    Hi my read valve cages are rusty, normal ! or not. thinking of diy nickel plating them, do the screws come out easy as look likesealer fixed

    I'd guess it would be normal if you ride in salt water. The pic below is of 12 year old reeds. Only been in fresh water though.
    Yes the screws remove easily. Use a tread locker when ya re-install the screws as you don't want them to come out.
