It just bolts flat to the engine, fairly simple swap if you have the intake manifold out of the way.

I got it done, nothing like working in a 95 degree garage and then finally remove the manifold to find I need the T 10 hex socket to remove the sensor screw. Glad there was a auto parts store open 24hrs.
Now for my findings, when I had taken this ski in to the dealer about this error, they said I needed the wire harness upgrade done. So I said do it, well tonight im looking at it,there were 2 wire harness pieces plugged one after the other then to the sensor itself. I look at both and they both had the same part # stamped on it. To me I think they did not know what they were doing and the ski already had this done to it. They are 2 identical pieces. Am I correct that I only need one??
I should have the knock sensor with its wire lead, plugged into one upgrade harness piece and then that plugs into the wire lead coming off of the computer chip- dont know the name of that part.
