    Solas 14/19 problems

ok so I installed my riva stage one everything but the intake, got lazy.. Anyways I sucked up a stick last weekend with my stock prop. So once I got my stage one and impeller tool, I went to change them out.

The stick tore up my stock wear ring and melted the crap out of it aswell, I had to idle a good distance back..

SO I got a new wear ring and put the new 14/19r in. IT didn't slide in easy, I had to kinda tap it in then it went. Spun around freely and everything once I had ti all tightened up...

Well took it out today and it ran awsome, hole shot and everything was great. Then later in the day it started cavtating out of the hole BAD...

What could this be,, could I have eatten a wear ring that fast??? I cant get out of the hole with out babying it. once out of the hole ski runs perfect. COuld this be the pump wedge?? Could I have more damage from the stick I didn't see?? I gotta get this fixed.. I haven't pulled the pump yet I was to tired to do it tonight..

    Things to check:

Wear ring is trashed (could have sucked up something else?)

Pump seal has a kink in it.

if the boot comes off will it spin like that??? I thought it might have come loose?? how can I tighten that down better??

I'll check the pump seal,, but it ran great for over an hr, which makes me think wear ring or maybe somethin came loose..

    Solas 14/19

Had the exact same issue with my RXP. Had to replace the Carbon Ring before I could get back to normal. I did take on more water than usual before I replaced the Carbon ring. Rockin and Rolling now!

I dont think its my carbon seal, my ski wasn't taking on any water.. I"ll have to pull the pump tonight. this is a 06 rxp with 13 hours on it.

I"m hoping the nose cone just came loose.
