Do a search about cat/con chip or 1k resistor and you will get some info. You can run down to Radio Shack and get a 1k resistor and make your own.

without installing the chip, or resistor the alarm will keep going off, you need to get the chip or a resistor & install it

the guys are correct, for that model ski you need the resistor as well. it fools the ecu into thinking that the temp sensor is still there and temps are correct.

with a dplate the ski runs much cooler than it does with a catcon so there is little chance of it ever over heating in that area of the exhaust

so she will continue to hit the reset switch in order to shut the alarm down, without the chip?

Yes, but I'm not so sure she will get too far off shore, unless she drifts!

Radio Shack........about $1.25. Search my old posts from 2006 for the part number.
