Steering cable routing on '04 RXP

Well, I finally finished painting the ski and started buildup. I'm in the middle of installing the handlebar assembly, but I can't get enough slack in the steering cable to connect to the bracket on the handlebars. Is it supposed to be routed along side the engine and under all of the intake tubing? Can it go over the intake to give me more slack or will that somehow damage the tubing? It's coming up about 1 inch short of the bracket. Thanks!

Thanks for the picture! What I'm looking for is whether or not the steering cable is supposed to be routed above or below the stock air intake tubing. I don't want to break anything trying to force it onto the handlebar bracket. Thanks!

Exactly what's pictured on the picture I posted Ya can't go wrong as there's not much slack to make a mistake If you look at the picture, That's exactly how it sits inside the hull. That's why I posted the picture Oh, Ya.....it can't get any " Below" than that

Ha Ha, you're right, guess I'll put some more elbow into it to get it to fit! Thanks everyone!
