    snapped crank

    Here are some pics of my friends 10 hour old true and welded hot rod crank. He is very lucky it did not take anything else out.

    Hey Jim do these cranks get magnafluxed before they get trued and welded?

    That is not good to hear Jim we are all running these T/W hot rod cranks and no warranty once T/W, I think as many members from this board that are using there cranks they need to do something about this sorry to hear that hope it was just an isolated crank and were all not sitting on time bombs.     Jim, is that the front one? I've seen several of these cranks snap up front like that. My orange GPR when I first bought it had the crank snapped like that.

    Hello Larry yes that is the front, He is very lucky that he was only cruising because if that happened on a WOT run that whole motor would be destroyed. He said he went over a wake and when he landed then the engine just died.

    well we have seen hot rod crank with problems in past ,it look like they skipped something here
    look like crank was to hard here at snout ,
    made in Taiwan /cheap - ya think poor economy has only hit here guess again

    Thats RACIN! At least it is a big bore engine making big power and not a stock 1300..
