15F: want more speed
I have an 08 15F, love it, but would like to know the best mods to increase top end speed without hurting acceleration. I currently have a shred master ride plate......Is the next step exhaust and filter? I ride in the surf quite a bit as well, any concerns with choking out the R&D or Riva filter if they get wet?
Any help is appreciated

In my case the exhaust mod and the bucket intake mod gave me about 550 rpm.
I overspun the prop, so I had to go with a 14/20 afterwards. The gain was at least impressive! I did the whole thing by myself and total cost was about 70 bucks.
I only drilled the second hole in the baffle, and kept the original water flow.
Those two mods will give you a lot of power, but you need to change the prop
after this. Hope this helps.

Please what do you mean by (I only drilled the second hole in the baffle)
do you mean the exaust mod ?

Ok, if you go here: http://www.rivamotorsports.com/instructions/rk16085.pdf
You can see down the page what they mean by that. I just drilled the second
hole, then I've welded the end back. That gave me some of my RPM. About 1 bar.
The rest came from the air filter mod( posted by Chowski). All in one I was pushing
7 and 2 bars before, and 7 and 5-6 bars after.(RPM, that is). So yes,
as stated by other members here, it is a very effective mod. Very cheap too.
I used a P-trap ABS pipe from the plumbing store instead of the Riva kit.

Well you right that,s why they called it RPM kit,
cause my mine have 7 and 3 bars i got the ride Plate but in 09 there is just one water box, but guees the mod could give me more RPM
what about the sound ?at cruising speed is it very loud ?

It will sound loud to you if you ride in a quiet Area or something but not to loud compared to the ultra it gives it just the right amount of noise
