plug came out, and submerged my ski

The water was to the top of the motor, i pulled carb covers off sucked out as much water as possible, pulled the plugs out and water is shooting out, whats the best way to get all the water out? is there some kind of drain plus on the block??

click there ...i sunk mine earlier in the month as well same issue you had.

i got a turkey baster an sucked all the water out that was in tehre. then with the plugs out i woudl crank it obver to shoot the remainign water out.

then put the plugs in an fired it. then took them out an got the remaining water out, i did this probably 10 times untill alllllll the water was taken out. then it cranked over just fine. but you need to put fogging oil threw teh carbs so the motor insides dont rust over.

from what i was told this happens an its common so just make sure to get all the oil out. fogg the motor .get all the oil an gas out an put fresh stuff in

assuming it's a 2-stroke since you said it had carbs. Keep turning the motor over until water isn't shooting out of the spark plug holes. Once you do that, dry off the plugs, put em back in and get that thing fired up.

It needs to run for a while to heat everything up and get all the moisture out of the cases and bearings in the crank. Otherwise you will be rebuilding much sooner than you'd like.

+1 get that ski running, and get it out on the water as soon as possible. Also put a teaspoon of oil into the spark plugs holes to get some oil into that crank.

no just make sure you get allllll the water out do the process that i was doign to assure its all out. then go get some fogging oil from your local parts store. an follow the directions. i just started mine every day multiple times a day for a week( to keep the motor turning before ic oudl get to the lake an really make sure all the moisture was gone) an my ski si 100% fine now

    Fresh or salt water???

Regardless, that thing needs to run, get hot and cleared out.

    Best of luck!
