Thread: 440/550 compatibility?

Can anyone tell me how easy or hard it is to make a 440 into a 550, is it only the cylinders that are differn't? Can you just put a 550 Jug on to a 550 case? Any recomendations on carb rejetting? Any input would be Great!

If you look over towards the left it says X-H20, that's where most of the stand up guys hang out... There's always PWCTODAY.COM, I hate to send you over there but there is a ton of info already on 440/550 stuff... There are two different versions of the 550, the piston port and the reed motor (reed being the later version of the two). That's about my extent of 550 knowledge...
