It's not a must...but it will perform much better with it. The water gives it more low-end torque and gets it up on rpms (and into it's powerband)quicker.

No not really can figure it out. Now that i installed the factory pipe it was slower that before...without the aft rev limiter. But I figured out how to use it (micro touch). I adjusted it to 7700 or something like that. Now it is back to as fast as before, but I thought that this pipe should have made it faster. so....not sure where to go from here?

But I did make it to the Harbor beach race. Now that was sweet. Tons of xp's. Now I can tell how you feel with being the only tigershark out there.

I can't wait to have the issues that you're facing right now. That will mean that I'll have this bucket on the water.

Glad you made it to HB, it's a pretty awesome race site isn't it!

what is your hard jetting in the spec 2?

I run a 120 mikuni jet in the ecwi spraybar
a 85 in the mid pipe spraybar and a 100 in the stock 97spx waterbox with a jetworks valve set to push in water at around 4000rpms. Too much water in the pipe will kill performance.

The spec 2 should wake up your ski, it did on my 96xp but then again i have a few more aftermarket parts on mine.

    Get a solas XO>>>

I think i figured out my problem, the mid water injection stinger jet is 135. So im assuming that it is not right. All the other water injection points are stock. Including the water box. I'm pretty sure that the ecwi injection point is stock for the pipe too. So my question is, what size jet should I be using?

Well I still haven't had this dialed in perfect. I'm using a 97.5 jet on the mid pipe and stock for everything else. I also got an ecwi for the pipe. Now its a little faster, but not much. But I think I find out my problem. I found a pin size hole right before the water box. So my question is would something like that make me loose that much power?

Give your exact setup, prop, nozzle, compression, carbs, flame arrestor, grate, trim tabs, whatever you have added. List current max rpm. We'll go from there.
