Question B2 head gasket for the gp760

I have read thru GroupK's long section of the 701 superjet ..in there it states that the B2's has a different material head gasket than the 701(size is a given difference)..That it is a 3 layer STEEL gasket thats thinner in stack by .010 (higher compression) than the fiber gasket used on the 701..it was the better of the two for longetivity and sealing propertys, it was used on their hammer over bore 701's, to help sealing...
Any one know of this?? or if the the 760's always use that same steel 3 layer setup?

The o/e parts finder lists no other gasket for all the 760 than 1 number..was the blaster two different at one time and now not?

FYI: There is a nice chart of piston sizes and availabilitys in that section for those looking for specific sizes by different maker's

thanks guys... what im looking for is if the b2 has always used this gasket..I do know that the B2 only came with the 760 in this country (lucky fellows overseas got the 800)....and that b2's 760 GASKET is the same # as the gp760's.......I do have the cometic gasket set which has the 3 layer metal gasket, but I try to use o/e on important stuff like head gaskets...

OBX, Do you remember What your original one was?...

This isnt a big deal because the Rn'D head and the RIVA billet I have, use o-ring type seals... This was in case these end up leakers and I need to reuse the factory head...

(not that I'm expecting it...but good to know in any event)

Yep.. The original was a 3 layer steel gasket. I am currently using the Cometic top end set..... Same 3 layer steel...
