FS NEW Trailer SURVEY: Galvanized / Black Powder Coated / Aluminum

Just curious which metal / finish GreenHulk members prefer if they were buying a new trailer and they were all the same price.
Galvanized Steel
Black Powder Coated Steel
Aluminum

Aluminum by far, followed by galvanized. My painted trailer looks great but requires TLC and I'm always on the lookout to avoid chips.

3. Wouldn't even consider a powder coated steel trailer where I live (FL).

All would have stainless hardware and torsion axle with bearing buddies.

Thanks for your opinions so far. The Triton is a premium trailer. And the Elite only comes as a 2 or 4 place trailer. I can buy Triton LT WCI for not much more ($200) than other Galvanized and powder coated ( cheapest price ).
The only reason I included black powder coated trailers in this survey is that there are many people who buy them simply because they look good ( for a few months in freshwater, a few weeks in salt ). When does a powder coated trailer start to rust.....the day after it is welded together. And since unlike a hot dipped galvanized finish which coats every inch inside and out on the frame, powder coating still leaves the entire inside of all the tubes completely unprotected.
If more would like to chime in please.....add this: would the type of metal / finish affect your decision to buy a package PWC deal? For instance, same boat but sitting on each of the three types of trailers listed. Would you pay more for a Triton package? More for a galvanized vs. powder coated? etc etc. Thanks in advance for any input and your opinions.

The Triton single place trailer is no longer called the Elite I see. I would definitely get the stainless steel hardware upgrade available on the Triton

That is why I own a Trition Elite double and 4-place Trition Elite...

I generally wear out trailers and the longest a galvanized trailer lasted me was 10 years. Not bad and besides looking dull, they hold up pretty good. The brand/model of a galvanized trailer is more important as they are some crappy models.

My last two trailers have been Triton (aluminum) and spent $30 changing every nut/bolt/washer to stainless for the extra enduro. You need to put the Triton trailer in your "Will" because its likely to out live you Triton trailers sell very easy on the used market. Not the case with metal trailers.

Once in a while we see powder coated trailers at ramps and everyone of them has holes or major issues.

With SS hardware, and galvanized axle / aluminum wheels you would have an almost rust proof package for salt duty. Torsion axle is hands down better for cushioning your boat against the pounding road.

Galvanized trailers WILL rust eventually. Aluminum cannot.

My 2007 Aluminum salt water use trailer has absolutely no signs of corrosion. You'll be long dead before you see a corroded aluminum trailer
