Yami SUV 4 Stroke Conversion..Here We Go Again!

Well, decided to test the waters and put the ski up for sale. $5,300 would take it, no less.. By the way, here is a pic of the final dash layout.

OK, after testing the ski, I find the dash extremely difficult to see with glare on the clear plexi and due to the depth of the gage.. I've decided to abort the cool set up and place the gage in the dash like HandyMan Dan has done it. I made the mods last night and it came out nicely.

Handyman - what's the largest donor model & engine that I can swap into the SUV for this 4 stroke conversion.

I have done one using the Yamaha 1.8 engine. I do believe that there is plenty of room for the supercharger if you want to go that route also. here is the link of the build using the Yamaha 1.8 engine that I did for a customer.

Well, life is funny.. I just bought my original conversion ski back tonight!! from the guy I sold it to! He put about 50 hours on it in 5 years and it's been trouble free! It still looks great, so will keep it and sell the recent conversion if anyone is looking for one...

Update - I installed a 1.8 NA into my original project hull.. runs great and is topping out at 61.1 MPH at the moment. Am working on getting the porpoising to stop after 57 at the moment.. I love it!

That if fast for that large hull. I bet that it is a lot of fun. That engine may get better fuel milage then the older engines also. Keep up the great work.
