Took on a little project recently and decided to share on the forum.
I've had my GP1200R sitting around which was previously a GPR-SHO and decided to go with the 1.8L HO platform for more practical use along with reliability. I just found the GPR-SHO annoying having to play with the throttle off the line until fully planed.
The following is installed:
SHO gas tank with sending unit
2018 FX-Cruiser HO engine/harness
2013 VXR cluster/gauge
Riva ribbon delete
Riva air-filter
DIY oil/engine cooling
WORX engine cooling anode
WORX pump cooling plate
R&D 2.5 degree 87mm exit nozzle (might consider 2degree wedge)
GP1300R steering cable
SHO steering nozzle
2010 FZR oem prop (13.4/19.7)
SHO pump
FX-SHO driveshaft
Triple pipe water-box with 5'' exhaust
Dean's reflash - 8500rpm limit
Jim's modded rideplate
SS intake grate
I've gotten to the point where I could start and test for possible water leaks and all checks out. I've just received the reflash back from Dean's where he disabled the RiDE system and adjusted the tune based on my current mods. The craft is currently being painted and should be done before the end of the month to do some top speed testing. I'm hoping for 75mph but will be happy with anything 70+
