I have a blown engine in my GP1200R. What are the advantages of a Sea Doo engine versus a Yamaha? I have always had better experiences with Yamaha watercraft than Sea Doos.

GPRXP-X 255, work currently I n progress. Hull work is about 99% done, time to concentrate on the engine rebuild (freshening up stock bottom end with some new valves and ARP goodies). Going to spin a Yamaha HO pump with Ar230 boat impeller.

So the ski is done and I’ve been riding it but it isn’t 100% finished. I swapped out the boat prop for a worn out FXHO that I tweaked steeper. Last time out it ran 80 @ 8000 with too much oil in it. There’s still lots I want to do to get more speed out of it like 14/20 DF, tune, injectors, and replacing my relief valve hoses with pipe. Always a project… but it’s fun.
