This Build will be around the McDonnell Douglas T-45 Goshawk. i worked as an inspector on the first two prototypes back in 1994-95 ship #4 and #5 at AF plant 42 Palmdale CA. I have some pics from back in the day that i will scan.

The center cut is you remove the center. The side cut is aprox 19" long cut it as close to he front mount and leave aprox 1/4" to the rear mount hole. So to answer your Q YMMV..
