Hi All, I am new here so excuse the rookie(ness) but I'm a fast learner, I have a bad engine in a 2000 GTX (carbed version), I have a rebuilt 2002 GTX RFI engine, will it work If I just swap in the RFI engine (not the RFI parts) just the basic engine and hook up the carbs? Are these engines pretty much the same?

You cannot swap a RFI long block in place of a carb long block, regardless of year. They are not the same.1995 Raider 1100 - Sold after 16 years to a close friends son...gone but not forgotten (Still see it all the time

Im looking to transfer the running engine and eletronics , gauge, jet etc from a hull with a large hole in it 2002 GTX RFI to a 2000 GTX (carbed version but all that is getting ripped out) good hull do you think this will work? Are the Hulls the same for those years?
