2010 SHO engine, too old for use in a conversion?

Good evening everyone,
Had a extra gp in the garage for 7yrs was totally going to do it up 2 stroke style but things have changed the last couple of years with the conversions.

Looking at a 2010 that is damaged (hull), is this too old of a motor for the conversion?
What year should I be looking for?
