  • GPRXP Mid-shaft

Contact Ted Thompson at 602-418-2109 and leave your name and contact number for him to reach you.

The actual price will vary depending on how many he can do at one time.

    You will need:
    • RXP driveshaft with the engine side splines in PERFECT condition.
    • 2000-2001 GPR intermediate shaft. 66V-51323-01-00
I think you can buy a new intermediate shaft is about $170 from www.boats.net , and a whole lot less used. The 2002 and up gpr shaft will not work for this conversion. The RXT will not work for this conversion.

pics of the differences between the 2000-2001 I shaft and the 2002 and up. Only the 2000-2001 will work for this particular shaft.

What is the reason that only the 00-01 will work??

All he uses is the last piece off the shaft... they are different on the 2002 and up and won't fit.

                  One question about this subject:

Will the old shaft 00-01 fit in a newer bearinghouse 02-08?

I know this says a 02 and up i-shaft wont work but I believe a couple people have used them. I currently have a rxp shaft and 07 i-shaft does anyone know where I cant get these 2 mated to make a conversion shaft?
I didnt' want to buy an 01 if I didn't have to but I will if I have no choice.
                      anyone?

I just called ted, he can't do it with an 02 or newer and he didnt have any left in his shop so it looks like I'm going to have to buy an 01 unless anyone else can recommend somewhere to send that has done it already?

I don't trust any of the machine shops that I know around here.

Talk to Beer Dart. He might have something cooking with the 02 shaft.

                              FYI,
talked to Ted last week. He is still doing the original shafts, but only if he gets some interest so that he can secure the spline equipment and such.
