there ya go! Joe did his like that in jan2007 and it's still the same. It works like a charm, and no paint flaking or cracking repairs.

i love it!! so true too. glassing that stuff will only reduce the chance of small parts that fall under the motor from getting into the stringers. no way is a 1mm thick piece of fiberglass going to do anything to reinforce the stringers. and they hold up just fine.

I prefer not to use foam. The inner liner will get water in it and it needs to drain. I seal the openings with trimmed pieces from the removed pieces and drill drain holes at the rear of the liner behind the midwall.

I drilled a hole at the bottom of each rear gas tank strap mount at the bottom and drilled a hole at the bottom of the water box mount to help allow water to drain from the inner hull.

Spray in foam. I use a long hose, and fill up the inner liner as much as possible, and seal off any unused holes. I've never had a drop of water in there, even after swamping the ski.

                          +1 on the drain holes.

the only reason to fill in the cuts or cap them is to stop anything that you drop from disappearing. Mine aren't filled or capped.

I used spray foam to fill it, then when I was doing the resin on my Pump, I painted the resin over the foam to harden it up, so I didnt get foam deteriorating and making a mess

I just grabbed a can from home depot. It said waterproof, and I wasn't too worried about it.
