  • SHO-GPR parts needed

I'd like to get the help of all the sho-gpr guys and start some FAQ's just like we've done for the GPRXP's.

Check out this gprxp link, for ideas, and let's get the ball rolling.
Part numbers, links, prices, etc make it all easier...

Some folks have made comments on how "easy" it is. I've seen what you guys have had to do, so I know it's only easy after you finish.

With your help, it can get a lot better for those that follow.

I didn't think Hydrotoys would mind if I copied his GPRXP list and modded it, so thanks to Mark.

Feel free to suggest any addiitions. I can or Hydro can update it for us.

Depending upon how hard core you are with building a GPR-SHO conversion dictate's the size of the list. I did not go through painting the inside or outside of the hull, but other than that, it's a FAIRLY easy build.

Some GPR-SHO conversion build links, that I have found:
        SHOdude: http://www.greenhulk.net/showthread.php?t=84885
        Bruce: http://www.greenhulk.net/showthread.php?t=60126

        SHO Parts:
        • Complete Engine and wiring harness.
        • Main wiring harness.
        • Handlebar wiring harness.
        • Gauge and wiring harness.
        • Speedo and internal wiring.
        • Battery and cables.
        • Temp sensor/buzzer
        • motor mount shims.
        • All the hoses.
        • Throttle Cable
        • Fuel Pump
        • FXSHO pump
        Gpr Parts:
        • GP12/13R Hull/Topdeck/Steering/Body panels/seat.
        • Speedo and hull feedthru.
        • Entire pump tunnel. (2005 pump system is preferable) I used my FXSHO pump.
        • 2" pump spacer and hardware, if necessary.
        • 2" extension on steering and trim, if necessary. Got mine from Osidebill.
        • EFI Gas tank & vent system, 1300 fuel fill hose
        Aftermarket:
        • 2 bar grate. Either 800 or 1200.
        • Stock, R&D or Riva rideplate, modded for 1300r use.
        • I used a modded 1200 waterbox. I talked to TDR about a waterbox usiing the Model MC-1, but never came to fruition.
        • Riva 1300r free flow hose.
        • Pump Tunnel re-inforcement
        • 2 Jetworks pressure relief valves. .
        Conversion parts:
        • FXSHO exhaust manifold piece modded by Bruce at Riva.
While this list isn't perfect, you should be pretty close if you have all of these parts for the basic GPR-SHO conversion. Good luck and let me know if I can help.

I think Bruce will need to clarify if the exhaust modification is something he is willing to do on a regular basis. If not, then we should scratch that.

About the waterbox. I'd highlight that there is no solution found. To make this work, for the masses, somebody is going to have to design and sell one, for a reasonable price, or there will be a bunch of sunken skis with poorly made waterboxes.

I can't do anything until I get the engine in the ski, and that won't happen for me for a while.

Yes he was. Mark, Jerry and a few others told me to give TDR a call. Unfortunately, they had a 2-3 week backlog and I let it go and went with the 1200 WB. Might be something I'd like to do in the future.

When you get a chance, if you send your 12r box into him, and have him map it out it won't benefit you, but it will help everyone else.

Why wouldn't it benefit me? I want to try that WB.

It will probably work identical to your converted Yami box... but sound a little better.

Yes, you can use the SHO waterbox, but that sucker is big.
