Help! Any tricks for removing threaded fuel tank nut for fuel pump replacement?

Hey Y'all, I'm trying to replace the fuel float sensor in my '05 Honda F-12x. I'm having a heck of a time getting enough torque on the plastic threaded Nut that holds the fuel pump and sensor assembly in the tank and I'm resorting to golf language. Any tips or tricks on how to get the leverage needed to loosen that nut? I've already removed the front access hatch and I apparently don't have the hand strength to do it manually. Seems like an oversized fuel filter wrench might work but I don't have one that big and am at a loss as to what I can rig up.

Any suggestions??

Use the claw part of a claw hammer to grab the back side of one of the ridges in the cap and pull with both hands.

Thanks guys! The rubber wrench worked like a charm to get the top off, unfortunately I wasn't able to get the assembly out of the jet ski without risking damage to the plastic stems at the top, so I'm reluctantly sending this to shop to take care of.
