Hey guys I just joined the site after getting my first honda aquatrax, never had a ski before and already looking to go faster! I can see this becoming a very expensive addiction. Does anyone have any good performance parts for sale? Open to everything and anything for the right price. Thanks!

Im guessing your have to get to know people on the site before you can get any help? Is there another site were people dont just sit and bash eachother and bash the people trying to sell stuff and make a living? Seems like this honda section could be renamed "bash macsboost and bash h20extreme" thats what all the threads lead to is eventually bashing one of those no matter how it started...Comment

Don't be so negative! There is one guy that does the bashing - look back and see for yourself. "Is there another site were people dont just sit and bash eachother..." I recommend the Kawasaki section of this site for a genuinely wholesome, helpful, jetski community of interest.Comment

You know,
If I came to a free site and asked if anyone had something for sale, I don't think I would get-my-panties-in-a-wad after only one person tries to help. It has only been two days.
Relax, take a deep breath and figure out a good apology....."Confidence is the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation"Comment

In theory the way that you're tricking the MAP sensor is similar to what Mac's module does. Your method is cheaper, but it also requires adjustment, splicing into wires, etc.. Mac's requires no adjustments whatsoever. It can be installed in minutes. It will take someone longer to take the cover and seats off than to install the module. Mac's does cost more, but is always the same needing no adjustments. I'm sure he also spent a good amount of time and money researching and developing the module.
To be fair you haven't ran a MB module, just like i don't run a wideband O2 so i guess i'm guilty as well. I remember reading that someone on here with a stage 2 MB kit running in the mid 12:1 afr's. Sure that's not optimal and is a pinch lean, but that's not mid 13:1 afr's either like you were experiencing.
With any development of products that there's a niche for, the creator/company/manufacturer should be compensated. That's how it should be. Otherwise why would they offer their products when they would just give you a parts list, their distributor/sources info, and step by step instructions on how to build their components. I built my own intercooler set up, saved money, and made my own intake for probably $300 less than what h20 sells theirs for. And i know for a fact i'm using the same intercooler, air filter, and couplers. What i didn't save was time. It took time to start from scratch and weld/fabricate brackets, route hoses, etc all by doing trial and error. Not everyone has the resources and time to do that, but these companies do all of that for you and it should be worth something for them to engineer everything.
You are correct about the different groups. I'm several of those combined as are most of the people on here.2006 Honda Aquatrax F12x-Macsboost module, custom intercooler, air filter/breather, H2O plenum, FPR, muffled exhaust, tweaked solas 18/30, 19psi, livorsi boost gauge, modded intake grate and ride plate

Ramons dont work i can attest to that or atleast not for long , mine worked last summer but this winter it kept trhowing a fi code 45(overboost)
Drock very true rd ,test and tune is all part of the enjoyment for some of us . Macs unit is very easy to install and no tuning to get its results in mins. But for me knowing its on the lean side makes me want to go the added steps to make it 100% safe .06 R12x ( 126hrs) ic /exhaust upgrades .

I understand that completely. I've been adding extra octane myself, but i'd like to add a wideband and meth injection. BUT i've got bigger fish to fry in the next year or so(new house).2006 Honda Aquatrax F12x-Macsboost module, custom intercooler, air filter/breather, H2O plenum, FPR, muffled exhaust, tweaked solas 18/30, 19psi, livorsi boost gauge, modded intake grate and ride plate

I'm glad you got it Vman, as I was beginning to wonder if people thought I was serious... (I drew a bead of sweat just reading a recent thread there!)
Ya know, Ramone, Mac, Nitro, a few others, got into selling stuff NOT because they thought they'd get rich deceiving people in the giant void made by wealthy jet ski owners that weren't being tended to. They sure didn't get into it because they enjoy being badmouthed on every damn thread. My guess is that they got into it because they liked skis, they were looking for a way to make a living being around skis... something along those lines. If we drive them out of business, which is your apparent if not stated goal, then we have fewer people in the arena and contributing. I'd like to point out three things that I hope will get you to STFU about Mac's and Ramone's stuff long enough to have a thread with just people helping other people...
1.) If they like skis enough to build parts for them just to be a part of the action, they are probably devoted to the cause of protecting our rights to even USE skis. Powersports are under attack from every quadrant. Are you sure you want to bicker amongst ourselves or would our energies be better spent working together. Maybe a preface of "IMO,.." once in a while would make things a little easier. Maybe a less confrontational approach would be to say "that technique" rather than "that guy"... You know damn well that for every time you jump a business here, some are going to jump you back, twofold or more. Who wins? I say "not the forum, not the sport". If you didn't know it before, KNOW IT NOW.
2.)The OP got pissy, sure, but how many people are discouraged from even asking because they think a shitwar is ensuing? Also, knowing that some are devoted to a particular vender, you should know that it's irritating them, as well. Please, we have what could be considered oldschool, if not simply a classic, in the Hondas. At the least, they are, without a doubt, the best looking ski. They are also well engineered and the only ski built by a company to go the obviously best route (turbo) and not a mechanical blower - Good on Honda! These skis are what we have (I don't YET have one but am going to purchase as soon as I can free up the time to go get it). As time goes, attrition will mean fewer and fewer of these skis until such a time that Honda gets back in. I'd personally like to see a little more comaraderie but that's besides the point. The fact is, if everyone is driven away, the community and the brand will suffer.
3.)Everyone sees grudges for what they are. When somebody simply cannot let it go, it says more about THAT person than it does the person for whom the grudge is held. I guess I am asking you, for the sake of everybody sitting on the edge of our seats waiting for something really cool to make our old Hondas even better than they are, please stop making us see the anomosity. I know I look here everytime I see movement on the Honda section. It just takes a second but I look every time I come by the house, almost once a day. A lot of others see everything here, too, and I doubt they come to hear how you know more about AFR than everyone else. If we wanted to see the belly-achin', we'd go to an occupy rally tomorrow. What say we leave the egos and the bitching to ANOTHER brand's thread? Please?Comment
