Why did you feel a need to do that? Are you a little simple?

Many skis will go faster than a Honda for a short distance. Will you race me for pink slips (or $10,000) if I pick the venue? My point is that there is more to performance than who can go the fastest until they break. Not only that, have you really looked at a Sea Doo lately?

I bought my first Honda on a whim because it was immaculate, local, and i knew it had been very well maintained. I then found that the 12x's are hard to get speed out of; very hard compared to other brands. I guess that made me feel like an underdog and made me desire to make it faster than the stereotype that Honda's are slow. I did love the acceleration and torque of the turbo(other than a slower holeshot). I also liked the reliability and fuel mileage.

I've owned Kawasaki brute forces, Polaris RZR's, had Yamaha v-maxs on my old bass boat, and have had a Johnson on another boat. I know some of those are apples to oranges, but still get the point across. I'm not brand loyal at all. I like them all.

The first ski i rode was a 97 zxi900 kawi and man was that thing a ball. Good acceleration and great handling but terrible on fuel and a joke on anything other than glass. The Honda has great acceleration with my mods, but was impressive to me in stock form for an older ski. It does decent(not good) on the lake when there's chop and is pretty playful, but lacks slightly in holeshot. My dad has an 08 gtx 215 and the holeshot is impressive, he gets me 1-2 skis out of the hole. It also rides great in the chop. Last year anything from a dig and he would pull a couple skis and i would SLOWLY reel him in. From a 20 roll or more it was dead even. Keep in mind though his is completely stock and mine is far from it.

This year i hope to be a little quicker. We'll see what happens, i just like the challenge of making something not normally impressive and turning it into something that could possibly surprise some people on stock or mildly modded newer skis. I don't expect to be the fastest at the lake by any means either though.

My toy used to be a fox body mustang that i had built from stock to making 918rwhp(twin 61mm turbos, 383ci windsor etc) and it was still a street car. I drove it 45 minutes one way to the dyno, made 918whp, and drove it back home. I was the fastest in the area for a bit until someone made over 1,000whp. My lesson from this was there will always be someone faster, ALWAYS. So applying this to ski's, i just wanted something different and decently quick which is what i hope i've done and will continue to do.

I realize that we all have different tastes and that some people like stuff like that. Seriously, when I first saw that pic I thought "I hope nobody got hurt" - I actually saw it as a pile of parts on a trailer! It's probably a generational thing but what an easy job as a designer... Okay, blank piece of paper, make no two lines complement each other... Lost inpiration? Look in the dumpster full of cut-offs! A little hot glue, another bong hit, VOILA!
No Jif, I look at your opinions. I just just hope we can do a Rodney King and "all just get along".
Rock, I don't have as much ski experience as you but we are into these Hondas for similar reasons. Plus I'm prepping for an endurance race and the F-15X will likely be the ski on race day. It's got the combination of enough speed in the rough, a tough hull, durability, and I've got a couple of tentative sponsors that are thinking "Honda". If I end up on somethin else, I've got some 'splainin to do, but it is hard to resist the easy speed and reliability of the NA Yams and the brute force of the big blown Kaw. I did say that it was an endurance race, tho, right? I think that the Yam hull will break and the Kaw will eat itself some time past a few hundred miles. I'm hetero, so really couldn't see myself swingin a leg over something remotely like in that pic I posted.

            That was really funny!

BTW, SeeDoo's braking system seems to be a disaster in the making from the independent tests I have seen.....

I just like it since its not the same ole look. Reminds me of a bad guy transformer. All it needs is the logo...
The f15x is a realy nice ski , if i had known more about the hondas thats what i would had got a 15x.
It has alot of potential in comparison to the 12x. I have a friend who has one with boost and ic/exhaust upgrades. And its awesome .
