  • Need help with Oil on Honda Turbo Aqua Trax R-12X

    I have recently changed my Oil in my PWC. Now that it has sat for one day I now open the oil cap and all the oil has settled and can not be seen dip stick is dry. On the other hand when I start the jet ski all the oil comes to the top and I can now see it. My problem is im not sure if its to low or to full actually due to this issue when it comes to the top. I put about 4 3/4 quarts oil as recommended but again cant see it when settled. Should I be concerned about this? HELP!! please respond to me at [email protected]
    Model = 2004 Honda Aqua Trax Turbo R -12x 4 stroke

    Thanks!

    There is a sticky thread on here in the Honda how to FAQ. Its called the nitro test. It tells you how to check the oil. When you do a oil change. Put just over 4 quarts or 4 quarts of oil. That's what I have been told.

      x2,,, let sit at least 10 hours , level, pull dipstick put dip stick in rear crank case oil plug, should be in between the lines, no more then 4 quarts, let us know where the oil level is at on the Marks, bet its over the top line.

          i'd suggest manualsn for service on any honda product. mistakes can be costly in time and money.

          best to have oil evel correct. your view of a little over the line could differ from mine. suck out a little and do it right on the mark.

            Yes too much oil it will F1 code on you ...... see the sticky run then let sit check from the rear it is the most accurate way. Anything more than full will code you out ......

              Don't put 4 and 3/4 qt in.....that is for when you rebuild motor their is 1 at you can't get out.....I always changed my oil and filter and did 3.75 QTS.....allowed for fuel dilutions

                I put a whole 4 litre/4.1 quarts of castrol power 1 full syn 10w30. Will check oil again. I read that the 10w30 builds up no fuel dilution?

                  yes this is correct, I usually do 3.5 qourts then check level the next day, sometimes you miss some oil when removing, you can always add as its easier to add the to syphon back out

                    you will always get gas blowby no matter what full synthetics after 100 hours, GN4 oil 10w 30 befor, seems to have less blowby for first 100 hours that I have seen

                      Yeah I understand. My motor is running smooth with this castrol 10w30 in it.

                        I bought an '04 F-12X over this last weekend. Guy hadn't owned it but a year and didn't know much about it. I rode it over the weekend with intentions of going through it maintenance wise this week. When I sucked the oil out of both holes Sunday night I pulled 7.5 liters out!!! I don't know how the ski was running with that much oil in it. Hope I didn't hurt anything
