I took in a friends honda turbo that needed a turbo. I put a used turbo and waste gate on it from a ski that ran. The ski runs ok, but only turns about 5,500 RPMs and runs in the mid 50s. It has a macboost module on top of the intake, and it looks like a macboost intercooler. I checked the intercooler, and it isn't leaking. it cranks up easy and idles smooth, just not hitting max rpms. The second time I put it in the water, it ran normal and the rpms jumped over 6,000 for a second, then it was limited to 5,500. Acts like its hitting a rev limiter. revs fine out of the water. What should I check?
