My rx12x wont go above 3k rpm in water, HELP!

I had just bought this ski and it will rev out on the trailer perfectly fine, but in the water it goes very slow and wont go above 3000rpm. The speed on my dash also isnt telling me how fast im going, not sure if that is part of the issue?

the Speedometer on most (older) skis is stand alone, and if its broken it wont affect performance. check the prop area. one time i had a very tiny piece of plastic stuck to my impeller/prop, it was like 1/4" circle like part of a soda bottle cap or something, probably didnt way more than a gram and it was enough to make the ski not do anything in the water. so check that area well.
