  • Do you prefer to buy parts from the Greenhulk store or PWCperformance.com ?

I am posting this as an exercise in learning how people perceive the online watercraft parts marketplace.

Greenhulk is a bunch of things, including being a community of watercraft enthusiasts.

In addition to proving a venue for sharing knowledge and learning about these machines, there is a business in the selling of parts for these machines, both OEM original replacement parts and aftermarket performance parts.

I am interested in how you perceive the store name/branding that comes to mind when you want to purchase parts for your watercraft.

Aarrgh - invalidate my vote of "Greenhulk.com" - I meant "*.net". As far as making the purchase, I know I'm buying from the "pwcperformance.com" business, but my perception is that I'm buying from GH.net. Also, I'm not a modder, more of the annual maintenance kit guy and whatever replacement part becomes necessary, but 99.9% of my PWC shopping is done via this venue.

I find it annoying that Riva, 4-tec performance, pwc performance, etc are all related but separate. They even link to each other... WTF. I want to be able to buy OEM parts and performance upgrade parts in the same cart on the same site for good prices, pay for them and get them shipped together!!!!!! It PISSES me off that i have a navigation nightmare and new windows and pop ups and every other damn thing when i just want to ONE STOP SHOP!!!

Hookers, blow, booze, and fresh fruit would be welcome additions to this type of PWC parts paradise as well...

Actually, it is not quite that simple.

One of the reasons for the poll was to see how much potential confusion there might be. Some people may not realize how the online stores are related.

Of the stores listed in the poll, which ones are actually related?

If you type "http:///www.pwcperformance.com" into a browser address window, it redirects to "http://www.4-tecperformance.com/" and when I click on "Order Performance Parts" in the GreenHulk forums, it redirects to 4-techperformance.com. GreenHulk.com redirects to GreenHulk.net

                      So in my mind, pwcperformance.com = 4-tecperformance.com = GreenHulk.net Store = GreenHulk.com store.

PWCperformanceParts.com appears to be a separate entity, although you'd probably have a good case to show likelihood of confusion, but you'd only have a strong case if term "PWC Performance" was trademarked within the scope of selling PWC parts.

Also, PWCPerformanceParts.com appears to be owned by someone name Joe Johnson in Baltimore, MD.

Since the poll is about perceptions, I shall temporarily hide some of the 'answers' posts.

Others can then post their votes without seeing the crib notes ...
