2004 STX-R 1200 Not starting

Hey,

i have a STX-R 1200 2004 that isnt starting, i have replaced the spark plugs, Starter Relay and Battery, I get power to screen and all, when I press the start button i get 1 click and nothing.

All Fuses are good. I had spark before it stop turning over. i have also tried cleaning all plugs around the engine bay.

Any ideas on what to look at next?

Sorry to add, We had rolled the ski, engine compartment had water in it, we have drained it, and cleaned all plugs / connections in the bay. took it back out to the water and after warming it up the ski wouldn't go over 20KMH

Might be something bad in the cdi box. As far as the not starting, maybe the starter is bad?

Pull all the electrical connectors apart and clean, dry, and inspect them.

Did the motor get any water in it when you rolled it? If so did you pull the plugs and spin the motor over to get the water out?

I'm confused. You flipped the 'Ski and got water in it. You drained the water out and got it running, but it wouldn't go over 20 KMH.

Now it won't crank, is that correct? And you've replaced the battery and starter relay, correct? You say that you had spark before it stopped cranking, which would be obvious.

How long did it sit with water in it? Very possible that it got water in the starter. Water in the carbs would also make it run badly. Before spending money on parts, spend time on diagnosis.
