If I ever get around to doing some of my engine conversion projects, I'm going to paint the inside of the hull with automotive trunk paint. I'll probably go with the factory engine colors to start with.

I knew a guy that painted his airplane engine white so he could spot oil leaks.

For the bilge I like a bright color like white even though it shows dirt. It just makes it easier to see loose parts. For the engine how about a gold to match that of the body decals?

Kawasaki teal, with gray bilge paint and pink accents a-la the 2 strokes from the 90s. I have a soft spot for that combo.

Alternatively, I actually like the stock color of the 15f/250x/300 valve cover. The gold is nice imo, kawi also did the early 12fs in dark gray which was the same as the zx12r motors iirc.
