Installation of Coupling to Output Shaft - 05 STX 12F

I am in the final stages of rebuilding my STX 12F... As you will see below in the pictures, I need to install the coupling to the output shaft. I can't put anything into the cylinder to hold the crank, so i built a tool to torque it down as best i can to the output shaft. A couple of questions... 1. Which direction does the coupling rotate when driving forward? Clockwise or counter clockwise? 2. Do you think if i use thie tool i made to torque coupling to the shaft it will hold? Any answers would be greatly be appreciated..

IIRC the engine rotates CCW when viewed from the rear. Therefore the engine is "tightening" the output shaft onto the coupling as it turns. IOW I don't think you have to worry about the coupling backing off the output shaft.
