Mark if you go back a few pages I already did the pipe thing. Will I go back on this ski probably not because it takes alot to get fast numbers on this hull ...If I want to go 70+ I can get a ultra 150 or another gpr.
But If I buy another ski then it's back to dumping money....I would rather have a thrash ski like a blaster or X-2
We will see what I get in the next few months with what I have but this stxr is pretty much done with testing. I think I have done enough for the average racer and rec rider.
Jonny How are you? I'm Pilot from Brazil, I need help me, ok?
I have a Kawasaki STX1200R year 2003, following parts list I have in Kawasaki:
* ADA BILLET HEAD
* TRI PIPE
* IGNITION ADVENT
* SPONSORS R&D
* REEDS VFORCE 2
* RIDE PLATE AND INTAKE GRATE -R&D
* CILINDER DONT PORTING IS OEM
* IMPELLER SOLAS 15/21
* UMI STEERING SYSTEM
* AUTO TRIM SPEED MAGIC
* CARBURETORS IS OEM
This jet is giving 66.9 mph, he has plenty of torque, but would like to reach 70 mph, with many ripped (torque) but has a lot in end few meters away ...
what should I do? buy what carbs? I porting my cilinder? which settings?
know someone who has the carbs for sale? or performance parts?
What a great write up on your STX-R. I bought a 97 and 2000 900 STX at the beginning of the year and shortly after an ultra 150 seized up. I rebuilt the 900s and are running good and now i'm rebuilding the ultra. I hope to see it respond like your STX-R did to minor bolt on mods earlier in the build. I've done the oil block off on my 900s but what about the 1200? I see there is oil in the balancer bearings. Can I add oil injection ports to the gp1200 mikunis when i get them?
