750sx or sxi

I have a 91 650sx with mods.Runs great but I want to faster and looking at getting a sx750 or sxi750. Around 93-97 Are any faster? Whats the best way to go? What mods work on the 750s? thanks

i would recomend you try riding one, and see if you like it.

IMO they do have more power, and handle much better. they respond well to bolt on mods. pipe, head, carb(s), ect. i think also you will find parts easier to get.

the SX had a aluminum prop, and single carb stock. it has what is called the "small pin" motor.

the SXi came with a stainless prop, and dual carbs. it has the "big pin" motor.

some people like the SX motor better, as it has lower port timming, and generally makes more power on the bottom end.

the SXi has taller port timming, and generally makes more power in the upper RMP's
