I gave away my shredmaster for $100 after I found it did nothing for speed or handeling back in the day. Beachhouse Sponsons did far more than that plate ever did. For me, it was a waste of money.
That being said, others like the plate, just did not do much for me to bother with.
If you want to tame some of the nasty bites the stock setup can do, then the plate may be an option as the sponsons are no longer avalible.
And it is cool to see one pop up for sale.
