Holy hell, I completely forgot about the special torx screws.
See, I knew there was a reason I haven't done this yet!

Smokey, most of us don't get to just draw playful TPS picture outlines and slap on a new part.
This is the real world. A world where child proof screws keep me lazy.
    I bid you goodnight.

I am just giving him a hard time.
I actually really appreciate the simple solution Smokey suggested.
I would be an idiot to come one here with under 10 posts and start getting pissed at you pro's. You guys know your stuff.
My low post count reflects not only my inability to add any relevant input to the things discussed here but also access to pretty much any answer that may be needed simply by searching old posts.

Serious question: where can I pick up a torx driver? Does any hardware store carry those?

          Thanks

That's what I thought but the internet allows people to misread emotion. No hard feelings. You might find them st a hardware store or big box tool place like lowes. You can make one fairly easily if you have a drill press. I don't remember the size off the top of my head though.

Harbor Freight sell the tamperproof torx bits... and when all else fails, a small vice grip on the edges does the trick (at least for other items in the past). Not sure of the vicegrip will be able to grab the screw on this TPS. And later replace w/ a normal screw... or at least one that wont rust too fast.

Do you have to remove throttle body or can you change tps in place?
