Very impressed that many of these Ultras do over 75mph. Hitting those speeds with your hull design and weight is astonishing!

KTMman, send some pics brah! I gotta do mine soon when it arrives! I've not even put on my battery tender yet and feel guilty since I tendered my 1500 already. Hmmm... yes Orca is my Fav! lol...

Q: Forums, when I decide to flash the 310LX running 91 octane (cz it's a family boat gonna consume tons of fuel this summer), how far can i go with flash level? If using R&D as a guide can I still go R3 and tell my pose not to WOT across the entire lake or is R3 too aggressive for 91 octane? I was kinda thinking if R3 and put race gas now and then for bragging rights and maybe try hit 75 while I'm bumping 2pac! Can this R3 plan work reliably on 91 on family slow key let's say and I'll monitor the Race key on race gas 93-94 ish? Workable plan?

This factory stereo is bad ass! My kids hate when I play California Love!

PS: My parts are starting to arrive, Thx Jerry this was pretty quick! Got Riva intake kit, and plate still coming, I gotta figure out this grate and I went and ordered the R&D grate version of their pump seal kit for my offshore fun but really need smooth water max speed early summer. And read data results that the Riva scoop striped and naked is fastest for Ultra 310LX currently. I guess I gotta get that grate ordered soon but R&D say even their stock version seal kit won't fit the Riva grate so any suggestions on that pump seal kit? How necessary is it and or is it one of those "market" items you really don't need like the block off plate? In this area of the pump wanna do, R&D plate, Riva grate (naked), 1* wedge, R&D anti-cav cone, seal kit if I can get to fit or buy one to exact fit the Riva grate. I bet $ stock grate with center bar cut and some custom blue printing on scoop I could match Rive gate top speed... Hmmm... I'll start a thread on all these Ultra 310LX limited parts and plate arrives. I install step by step with images and final video top speed GPS when completed. I'm doing a "stealth" 310LX gonna try keep it quiet and only a Riva Race plate and piss out some to dry the exit some and call it good for first article WOT top speed GPS.

UPDATE: I take back anything I questioned on R&Ds quality... cz once in hand, this intake kit for my SX-R 1500 is top grade - my apologizes. If ya look close how you can see thru filter easily and intake airflow will never ever be a bottleneck on this build with this 3" dia monster with the teardrop style filter!

I bought a speed up module n as I've installed it I realised there is already a kawa speed controller, so I wired up this new speed up module then seen brown wire was been used with speed controller, do both theses modules so same thing? Would it be pointless using both at same time?

I've heard that people use magnum tuning rev limiter remover they solider inside ecu, this must be something he does in his custom way.

Craig from Wollongong City Jetski (kawasaki dealer) in Australia has done a fair bit of testing with the KSpeed and may give you some honest feedback, shoot him and email.

Yes. And he has been able to over ride the speed limiter inside the ecu from day one unlike some of the competing reflashes.

    You won't be disappointed.

From what I've read the new ECU flash programs you don't need speed up cz they incorporate it. I'm like you, I don't wanna buy a speed controller module if I don't have too esp if built into the ECU flash we choose... But I have not read any confirmation of this by suppliers just members on here. And after further reading today found out my Ultra 310LX is really only good for up to mid 70s smooth water if with some $$$ and the right choices already tested here and still maintain some reliability on investment. So my thing is if I can't make it a drag ski and do 80MPH smooth water off market parts and flashes on 93-100 octane I'm gonna be happy to do the smart money and do that 73-74 91-93 octane with the "speed module" and all the available "AIR IN" mods --R&D cold air in - full kit, Riva perf power intake, 1* R&D wedge, R&D ride plate, pump shoe seal kit for an R&D grate (which now I think i want to switch to Riva grate stripped down naked for top speed smooth water), block off plate to clean up compartment, R&D 310 exhaust plate, since the family is gonna be on this ski so a noisy water box is out of the question and I heard a worthless gain/noise. I spent some money but still deciding on grate even though R&D shipped my R&D shoe seal kit for R&D grate... I just may save it for R&D grate rough water app and get me a Riva grate ordered and see if I can get that .5MPH gain or so I want there.

Cz pretty sure now I've spend all I'm gonna spend and call it good on 91 octane and maybe reflash later and get that fancy touch screen programmer to control both my skis would give me some tuning power and some race gas is on bucket list esp for the 1500. But for this season I'm done with 310LX mods esp now knowing more about this boat's limitations and I've chased the dragon before on UTV projects similar to this and my live and learn is kicking in. I only wanted this boat to match my new SX-R 1500 and they look bad ass together but and love the offshore dominance but smooth water the Yamaha monkeys get to 80MPH on like 800$ aftermarket invest so I've read... I just spent $900 so far on smart choices IMO or so and I would be tickled to get 73-74mph since I'm not going crazy exhaust (family unit style) w 91-93 octane. The R&D exhaust plate has smaller jacket ports to dry out box some and really that's all ya need water box wise. Its fun ordering all the same type goodies you've put on your jet skis over the years and I haven't even took these out yet just brought em both home recently and my 100MPH jackets are starting to arrive and I have Armando at R&D on speed dial lol... But like the member that has the image of kangaroo drinking a beer says, these Ultra 310 boats have limitations and don't get too caught up in the hype of suppliers cuz to make these do 73-75MPH somewhat reliably is about all there is gentlemen on smooth water IMO.

Don't do it, just talk to Jamie at KSpeed (Brisbane Kawi) and get one of his flashes.

mate guessing wont fix your problems, and dont use the max recall for speed or rpms. you need to check with a gps at wot and look at the speeds and rpms. if they then dont add up, i would be checking the prop, they dont last 70hrs. also check fp output at prime and sc belt pivot. all these sap rpms when they arent 100% spark plugs and dirty i/c dont sap rpm like that. my guess someone has fitted a 14/22 and what is the aftermarket housing?

At 100kmh, you're not even getting close to the stock, speed limited, speed.
Something is not right. The revs seem about right for the speed, but they are low too.

    Thanks for the feedback guys!
My exhaust filter and supercharger belt are maybe 5 hours old so i would suggest they are fine, the tensioner etc are all brand new parts as a previous service mechanic left the bolt off the bracket and it went flying around my hull.
Plugs would be approaching 30 hours, possibly need a new set but they all looked fine at the point of new s/c belt and exhaust filter (5 hours ago).
Intercooler had a full clean about 10 hours ago, doesn't seem to be any gunk in there at the moment.
Unfortunately i don't have the old prop or housing, the current prop has about 70 hours on it now but has no cavitation and the hole shot is still ridiculous so i don't think it needs replacing.
The ski used to do well over 100kmh (62mph) when i first purchased it a few years ago, my gut feeling is it lost top end when Kawasaki here changed the prop to a different setup.
