My ski is only turning 7200 rpm @ 67 mph with the solas 14/21, is this to much impeller or should it turn more rpms, the rest of the ski is stock for now,

Thanks nicjak, The ski had the 14/21 in it when I bought it, I have a scom on the way, so the ski will need supporting mods besides the scom to turn the 14/21? Air intake and vent the hull? or should I put the stock impeller back in, I don't want to go crazy, it would be nice to break 70 though,2012 RXT-X, gen-3 I/C, F/A removed, custom 3.5 air intake, factory impeller repitched, scom, 72mph.Comment

with the solas 14/21 I can now turn it up to around 7900 rpms @ 72 mph, my low 7200 rpms before was due to a clogged I/C, I have done all the air mods I can find, what could I expect for speed and rpm's if I put the stock impeller in?2012 RXT-X, gen-3 I/C, F/A removed, custom 3.5 air intake, factory impeller repitched, scom, 72mph.Comment

Are people checking the pitch on the Solas 14/21 before installing them nikjak? Curious if they are off, or not on the money as advertized.
Would you suggest depitching the Solas to a 14/20 to bring the rpm back up, or has this test failed?2015 Kawasaki Ultra 310X SE

Waz,
Does the Solas come as a true 14/21 or should you check it first? I have a friend who can check the pitch for me. Some say they have lower rpm with the Solas. What happens if you repitch it to a 14/20 ?
In Yamaha SVHO land, we take the Solas 13/20 and repitch it to a 13/18 to get the rpm higher. If we don't, it slows down the ski. 13/18 is the sweet spot on the SVHO.2015 Kawasaki Ultra 310X SE

Since I have a K Speed reflash, I thought the 14/21 may be beneficial for me.2015 Kawasaki Ultra 310X SE

it IS worth the gains
it is worth lowering your RPMS down closer to stock RPMS after you have installed a scom and air mods that WILL increase your rpm and stress your engine.
I was just wondering why you were giving a opinion that does not add up.
I have used 14/21 or slight variances of this prop on all my
2011,2 x 2012 , 2013. , 2014 ,2015

If the stock prop needs replacement, I would probably get aftermarket. But not until that point.
PS- 8000 rpms is NOTHING for this motor. No Free RidesComment

My 2 300 , 2012 side by side race same mods
my Silas was faster everywhere
1/2 a ski better from the dig.
By by the way my skies ran 8250 most days even with the Solas ( solas lowers by approx 300 rpm )
If if people don't do CORRECT supporting mods , then that's there loose.
People just assume bolting s prop is all you need to do to see good results.
less than $1000 get 74+ mph all day
so to me it's a good thing.
