It has been quite some time since Kawasaki has made changes to it's flagship Ultra series of watercraft. The Kawasaki Ultra has performed so well through the years that there has been little to no need to replace the legendary JetSki. With loads of new features coming from Yamaha and Sea-Doo, the Kawasaki Ultra began to feel a bit dated; after years of waiting, the Kawasaki Ultra is getting a much needed update.

Kawasaki knows that above all, performance matters to their customers. Consumers that purchase a Kawasaki Ultra are adrenaline seekers that love horsepower, torque, and a sporty ride. For Kawasaki to live up to the performance of the outgoing Ultra, they decided to utilize the same hull and 310 horsepower supercharged engine that Kawasaki fans have grown to love. The straight line acceleration and superior handling in all water conditions is unmatched from the Kawasaki Ultra so why change an already incredible design? However, the Kawasaki Ultra was greatly behind on standard features found on the competition.
For 2022 Kawasaki is shaking up the industry and has surpassed every other watercraft on the market. The new Ultra is receiving a completely redesigned top deck with bold new styling. The new deck is lower with more space and comfort. Combined with the addition to Kawasaki's slimmer seat design and lower five-way adjustable handle bars , the new Ultra handles better. A lower deck, lower seat, and lower handlebars equates to a lower center of gravity improving the overall handling of the watercraft. The slimmer seat is more ergonomic than the out going model boosting rider confidence in aggressive riding, further adding to the better handling of the JetSki. A revised front and rear bumper reduce splash in rough water conditions and tight turns to add a drier ride to the new Ultra. Kawasaki has even added a new Multi-Mount system to the handlebars and rear of the watercraft to mount any accessory the rider chooses. To finish it off, the new Kawasaki Ultra is fitted with easy access cleats and the first ever gull-wing styled storage compartments inspired from today's supercars. The gull-wing styled compartments adds 10.6 gallons of storage to the separate 32.8 gallon storage compartment in front of the handlebars. The Ultra's new deck has certainly improved for 2022 but Kawasaki did not stop there.

The new Ultra's features contain technology never before seen on a PWC. The 2022 Ultra is equipped with Kawasaki Smart Reverse with Deceleration(KSRD). KSRD allows for one handed operation to engage in forward, neutral, reverse, or deceleration.
To move forward, simply pull the throttle on the handlebars; to put the JetSki in neutral, tap the thumb lever on the right hand side of the handlebars. When needing to reverse or decelerate, hold the thumb lever down. When backing down off the trailer at the launch ramp, Kawasaki has added a reverse assist feature to KSRD. While holding down the thumb lever, tap the up arrows on the cruise control to increase engine RPM for the extra thrust needed. Kawasaki adds the One-Touch 5mph mode to the new JetSki for operation in no-wake zones, activated by pushing a button on the right side of the handlebar. If there is a load on board or currents are slowing you down below 5mph, push on the cruise control UP button to adjust the engine's RPM. Standard on all supercharged Ultra's is a new 7ÔÇØ display with smartphone connection and multiple display modes. On this new display riders will be able to adjust between full, middle, low, and SLO(Smart Learning Operation) modes to fit all experience levels. On the new display you'll find the new Kawasaki Launch Control Mode (KLCM) that optimizes trim for perfect acceleration. KLCM features two modes: single and repeat mode. In single mode, KLCM is only active for one acceleration period but in repeat mode KLCM is active for every time the rider accelerates from a slow speed. The 7ÔÇØ screen has three different display modes: a digital speedometer, analogue gauges, and a digital speedometer with a JetSki image. The display automatically adjust brightness, but the rider can still control how bright the display is if they choose to. The display also features a black or white background. The 7ÔÇØ screen display functions include a GPS speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, drive mode, boost pressure, clock, power mode, compass, trim, Bluetooth indicator, phone call indicator, mail indicator, economical riding indicator, cruise control, trip meter, total time, trip time, oil temperature, engine coolant temperature, battery voltage, intake air temperature, diagnostic code, external air temperature, and external water temperature. The new display will also include infotainment functions such as a GPS waypoint indicator, vehicle information, rearview camera monitor, and audio track display on higher equipped models. All of these standard Features can be found on the 2022 JetSki Ultra 310X but it just isn't enough for the 310LX-S or 310LX variants.

The mid-tier Ultra 310LX-S only adds to the new features found on the standard Ultra 310X. At the stern of the JetSKi you'll notice the new Ultra Deck. The Ultra Deck offers 7.9 inches of additional deck space for storing more gear. The Ultra Deck contains two Multi-Mount bars to add more storage capabilities to the new Kawasaki Ultra. At the stern of the 310LX-S is even a rearview camera with a 155 degree horizontal and 115 degree vertical viewing angle. The view from the new camera can be found on the new 7ÔÇØ display. This new camera will aid the driver in countless conditions whether it be tow sports, riding in a group where added rear visibility is crucial, or even watching yourself speeding past the competition thanks to the highest horsepower engine found in any watercraft. Lastly, the Ultra 310LX-S has LED accent lights integrated into the front bumpers. The accent lighting increases visibility and adds to the striking looks, but please remember that PWCs are not to be operated at night. The mid-tier Ultra 310LX-S is already leading the industry in features and the flagship Ultra 310LX only gets even better.
The Ultra 310LX is pure luxury with all the performance expected from the Kawasaki Ultra. The 310LX has a seat like no other; it is 3-position adjustable to fit riders of all shapes and sizes and is comfortable with even three people on board. The seat offers deeper hip support and added padding for the most luxurious ride on the water. The seat is wrapped in a black and brown UV resistant cover with white stitching. Thanks to the heat-resistant material, the 310LX will have a cool, comfortable seat on even the hottest days. The 310LX is the first ever watercraft to offer a four-speaker sound system as standard. Two speakers are placed on each side of the 7ÔÇØ display and two speakers are below the mirrors pointing up towards the rider. The four-speaker system will maximize audio quality at even higher speeds and is operated using a jog-dial controller located to the left of 7ÔÇØ display. The audio system is bluetooth compatible and audio can be viewed on the 7ÔÇØ display. Kawasaki has also equipped the Ultra 310LX with a meter visor to deflect wind and add to the most comfortable ride on the water. With all the new features found across the model range, Kawasaki did not leave out additional accessories to add to the new JetSki.

In addition to the already existing Kawasaki accessories, there will be a new stern bag, soft cooler, dry duffle bag, easy-access storage bag, dry bag, Vacu-Hold JetSki cover, rear rack, and tie down points. Of course, all the added features on the 310LX-S and 310LX can be purchased and added to the lower-tier models.
The new Kawasaki Ultra 310 is the most advanced watercraft on the market today. Most importantly, performance was not sacrificed with the new lineup. The Kawasaki JetSki is the perfect watercraft for high speed ocean riding, ripping around a buoy course, luxury cruising, brutal acceleration, fishing, expeditions, and just about anything you can think of.
The 2022 Jet Ski Ultra 310X is available in Ebony/Turquoise with an MSRP of $17,199, with the Jet Ski Ultra310LX-S available in Ebony/Lime Green at an MSRP of $18,199 and the Jet Ski 310LX available in Ebony/Gold with an MSRP of $19,199.
