Messinger .. I spoke with a tech at kawi and he said its supposed to be for the early 2004 15f and 12f's. depends on when the date of manufacture is .. if its made early or late in 2004.

All it says is that on eligible 2000-2004 units the fuel hose(s) may not seal sufficently at the fuel pump and fuel filter, creating the potential for a fuel leak resulting in a fire or explosion that could cause injury or death. kawasaki will replace necessary fuel hose and clamps. 30 minutes to repair. They do not include any diagrams. Hope this helps

Funny you should post this as I purchased a 12F last year.........or I should say I scooped the parts into the back of my truck. It, as I was told at the salvage yard, was fueled at a gas dock and exploded during re-start. The rider was hurt bad and the top deck was blown a part. Their was a small fire as I have found a few melted wires and the tank had a melted spot where the fuel pump goes. I was told that a recall was put out soon after. This is a low hour ski and will live again in an up-coming project.
