anybody have speed numbers on a stock GP1800 HO, NA 2021 with the Stock File 8000?
    Thanks

Speed will vary with air and water temp, humidity, altitude, rider weight, water and wind conditions. Even rider position on the seat.

What are you wanting to determine about/for your ski?

I understand the variables involved. I see lots of numbers for all the other ÔÇ£StagesÔÇØ but none for the new pump on a N/A 2021 machine. I would like to see it faster then my 2011 VXR with no flash. Maybe 71?

Your older VXR has a different hull, which IIRC is considered to be a faster hull (given the same engine power).

A couple of years ago Yamaha revised the 160mm jet pump parts configuration for the SVHO models. I do not recall whether the 155mm non-supercharged jet pump was also revised?

In any case, it is unclear whether there is any performance gain for the different jet pump version, even with the SVHO engine.

The hull differences are probably a much bigger factor between your old and new models in terms of top speed.

Was that a GPS or the Dream-o-meter? I haven’t had a chance to make any high speed runs with a GPS. If you can hit 69 stock, then removing the speed limiter and bumping the rev limiter to 8k O would hope for 71 ish.

I'd be real surprised if that 69mph was gps. More than likely from the dreamometer.

The pre-2015 VXR/VXS hull was indeed faster than the later model hulls. Both of mine (see my signature) have recorded gps speeds of right at 67.5mph in cooler weather. My lake is almost never smooth so both of these skis may have just a little more speed in them on perfect water.

Most of the talk that I've seen on this forum points to the newer hulls running about 3 mph slower than the older hulls. The newer hulls handle better, however.

The term “Speed Limiter” is coming from Maptuner themselves.
                  “Notes:

That may be but there is no "speed limiting" happening in a normally aspirated GP1800 HO.

In my 2019 GP1800R SVHO, there is most definitely speed limiting happening and it's easy to see on gps. My ski will rocket up to about 71mph and then the limiter will pull the speed back down to about 69mph. This is on my wrist mounted gps that you can see in my avatar.

Thanks, it must be a Super Charge thing.

Since a NA 1.8L waverunner is not speed limited I don't think you will see much improvement in speed without a repitched prop to get more RPMs that a tune would help you achieve.

I think that sums it up. Kinda miss my 68mph VXR. I will be testing in the ocean all next week, I hope it jumps waves as good as the VXR. Thanks everyone.
