So I have a 2010 rxt-x. With the following mods

4'' Kanaflex to the front with filter
the RIVA freeflow exhaust that deletes the resonator
    fizzle Intercooler
    upgraded flywheel bolts
    catch can
updaded driveshaft cause the 2010s had that crappy one with the nut
The 83.5 reduction nozzle for the 2010 skis
    14/19r Solas impeller

so I just got the stage 2 tune for 8350 and my ski is right on the limiter at full throttle and I believe it's hitting it on take off as it seems much slower on launch. At full throttle I'm seeing 8340-8360
max speed I have seen on the tune is 71 on a good day it refuses to go faster or come close to the 74 advertised.

I emailed jesus today and he suggested sending the ecu back to increase the rev limiter to 8600. I'm on stock drive train I told him I would like to upgrade to the super tech springs and retainers if I do that even though he said he has done it and it should be fine. My question is if I upgrade the springs and retainers can the fuel system and injectors keep up at 8600? It's my understanding that they are at 90% duty cycle at 8100rpm. I'm just trying figure out how to dial this thing in. Another person suggested getting a lucky 13 tail cone or going back to the stock impeller with the reduction nozzle.. can anyone chime in and throw some ideas around ??

From my experience I can tell you no!
I ran with stock injectors max 8340 and when I checked log the injector duty cycle was showing 105%.
Luckily I only made one pass!
So you know what that means.....

I upgraded to ID1000's and ski ran 8640 rpm.
Nothing else was changed only the injectors and off course the injector data in the tune. So for sure engine was starving on fuel.

I knew about the stock injectors maxing out above stock RPM but was still kinda 'suprised' that it was indeed so close.

Air temperature was around 10 degree Celsius so that also played a roll. So in warmer (humidity) weather you might have a little more room.

Stock SC, CAI, F1000 IC, 15/20 repitched to 13/18

You hit 76 on the stage 2 tune?? Man I’m not even comming close my ski performs worse. Jeasus sent me this this morning saying I could run 8600rpm with the stock injectors.. what impeller where you running getting that speed 13/18? So if I get that 8600 tune get the injectors and springs retainers and I should be good right ?
At full throttle I’m right at the limiter so I think I need more pitch .

For now, simply replace the Solas 14/19 with the stock impeller. If that results in too large a loss of rpm, replace the 83 mm nozzle with the stock 87 mm nozzle. Or, I can loan you my L13 TC.

You might want to verify that with a hand held GPS....

You can invest in an separate A/F gauge or DashPac module for A/F.
For a piece of mind what's going on under the seat while riding.
And do not have to thrust blind on other peoples experiences.

You already spend a lot of time and money to restore this ski.
Would be sad to blow engine now .......

Well Jesus was very adamant that I can spin to 8600rpm with out any fuel upgrades on the stock SC. So I’m doing springs retainers and a 160 degree thermostat and I’m going to send him the ecu and he is going to reflash it to 8600. I think then I’ll get the performance I’m looking for.

I'm not doubting the knowledge of Mr. Jesus. He has probably far more tuning knowledge then 95% of this forum together.

                  I'm just sharing my experience.
I found my log from that run with stock injectors.
Just look at the A/F ratio (again it was a cold day)

Also keep in mind Riva expect you to have a solid 58psi fuel pressure to run your tune.
