How to clear old tunes from a maptuner 1

I'm trying to download some new tunes to my Maptuner 1 with no success ! I'm thinking the maptuner itself has to be cleared so that new tunes can be downloaded. Anyone know if I'm correct or know how to clear the old tunes?
