Maptuner question

Hey guys quick question about the maptuner. A friend has the maptuner. I am looking at buying a tuning credit to modify my ski. If I use his tuner will my vin be locked to his tuner. Or if I buy a maptuner of my own down the road can I swap tunes with out having to re license the vin?

Yes mate, you can use his MaptunerX then when you buy your own you can reallocate vin to your account

I just did a similar thing, with my friends maptuner X. I purchased the tuning credit, and created my own account to use it with. When I tried add my ski to the map tuner under my account, it showed it was already in use by another owner,( since I added it while it was signed in under his acct) and it wouldn't let me claim the credit,under my acct. until I sent Viktor & Jesus an email to get it switched over for me. All is good now, and working great.

you would have to assure that the previous account has disavowed the tune, then you can add it to another account. Under no circumstance can you have the same lic on two accounts

on the first maptuner, reload the stock tune, then delete the vin. or you can simple email v/j

everything is tied to the vin#. Keep that in mind if you ever have to replace your ecu

Sorry maybe I did not ask that correctly. Candoo and buds can mate ecus and the dash. Can you do this with the maptuner
