The Bosch 4.2 sensor does not last as long as the Bosch 4.9 sensor, but both will fail due to high exhaust temps in excess of 900*C. The other item that will kill an O2 sensor is moisture/water.

Inspect exhaust manifold for cracks around the O2 sensor, or it wasn't drilled/threaded correctly, breaking into the water jacket.

Yes, but on Sea Doo ECU all cylinders are fueled the same.

I use this in mine and it definitely helps with sensor longevity.

You can also use a 02 sheet sink. It helps keep water off the sensor

You don't want a hot sensor before you start the engine. Doing this will dump moisture onto the, now hot, ceramic element inside the senor damaging it. Ideally you would start the engine, which will clear our any moisture, and then quickly turn on the heater.

The only thing I do differently, is I don't remove the 02 after logging. It then gets plugged back into dashpac, maybe you just got 2 duds. Have you tried sourcing a O2 from another supplier/retailer?
