I just picked up a seemingly nice 2004 MSX 110. I've spent hours in the forums researching, but thought I'd throw my question out to the group. Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
Hours, 140 - I believe its sat for a while.
Oil on dipstick is clean, fill level right at max, maybe a hair over
Coolant is pink and clear
On trailer out of water in garage rev's high in forward,
in water (on trailer at ramp), starts, idles, doesn't rev. In reverse, it's pushing water but very litle if any throuttle in forward or reverse.
Compression is roughly 120 on both cylinders
At ramp, there was oil floating on surface
Started again in garage, it revs, and sprayed a milky oil mix on floor out of exhaust.
The oil in exhaust is concerning, but my coolant is still clear, and my oil in tank isn't milky, so I'm ruling out a head gasket. I can't rule out an overfill at some point (no history) so maybe it's fouled my air flow sensor(s)? could it be the throttle body? something turbo related?
Any ideas on the no rev situation in water. I was glad to see it didn't rev high in water, but disappointed it didn't rev at all.
